World War II Events

Cross Country Championships of sorts were organised by the Scottish War Time CC Association during World War II. Thsi group was essentially the Midland District with the driving force of Edwin (Eddie) Taylor of Shettleston Harriers who became the Midland District Secretary after the war. In 1942 the Midland District allowed a combined team from Dundee to compete in their championships. After the war Dundee Thistle H and Dundee Hawkhill H united as one club.
